標題[英中] 請問兩段翻譯錯誤

前幾天去試譯英翻中，但被回絕了，還指出其中兩段譯文「過於直譯／語意不正確」。
想了很久，不知道要怎麼改善好，所以上來請教大家，還煩請不吝指教。
1.
However, this also means there is greater potential that more personal
information and business data will exist in the cloud and be passed back and
forth, and with that comes significant implications for applying proper
security to protect the data and establishing privacy policies.
我的翻譯：
然而，這同時也意味著更多的個人資料與商業資料，將更可能存在雲端並來回傳遞，隨之
而來的是對採取適當的安全措施以保護資料，以及建立隱私政策的顯著影響。

個人也覺得後兩句讀起來不太順，請問有沒有更好的譯法？

To capitalize on the opportunities that the IoT brings, doesn't just require
networked connections but secure networked connection.
我的翻譯：
為了利用物聯網帶來的機會，需要的不僅是網路連結，而是安全的網路連結。

這段我想更久，因為我想不通哪裡「過於直譯」或是「語意不正確」。
唯一想到的可能是「不僅...」後面接「還...」比較順，
但好像也不能算是直譯或語意上的問題？？？
