最近翻到一篇樂器創辦人文章的介紹
遇到了難題 卡住了
1. inventor of the popular Grenaditte and New Voice flutes and piccolos,
"he is making a career defying norms and stretching comfort levels."
重點是打引號這句真的不懂
自己試譯如下:
他所創生涯跟其基準有所背離 並達到舒適層次
就是defying norms 和stretching comfort levels 不懂??
應該是在講說他生涯方面如何
2. Geoffrey points out that flutists must "stretch mentally" to apprecite their
unique
qualities. "While it seems flutists like to purchase the latest bells and
whiltles for their
new flutes, stretching newness too far tends to turn flutists into
traditionalists."
自己試譯如下:
Geoffrey指出,長笛家必須要動動腦來欣賞其獨一無二的特質
然而 似乎長笛家喜歡購買最新鈴聲/鐘聲? 且對著全著長笛吹口哨?
太過仰賴新奇的事物 而讓長笛家變成傳統遵循者
bells and whiltles 查到是指附加配備?
stretch mentally 這句也想好久才勉強翻出 不知對否?
還有這句stretching newness too far 也是不懂
麻煩版上高手批評與指教
