Ranks 18th in the NBA in steals per game (1.52), 19th in assists per 48 minutes
(8.1) and 6th in steals per 48 minutes (2.57) ... Ranks third on the team in
scoring (12.3), second in assists (4.8) and second in steals ... Set a career
high with 29 points at Atlanta on 1/6 ... Recorded four double-doubles.

he's the back up for the leading candidate for the 2006 T-Mobile Rookie of the
Year.

It's been an interesting career for Speedy Claxton, and now, he could add the
Sixth Man Award to that list. Claxton is averaging 12.3 points per game in 71
contests, only three of which he started, which is just shy of his career best
of 13.1 ppg when he played 46 games for Golden State in 2004-05.
