標題[文法] than to的對稱性問題

大家好，請教一下
OALD9裡頭寫道:
than
preposition, conjunction
例句：
You should know better than to behave like that.

想問的是，than這個字不是應該都可以用句子左右對稱的方式來理解嗎？例如：
I'm older than she (is old).
He loves me more than you (love me或直接用do).
It was much better than I'd expected (it was).
但這個例句我就不曉得應該怎麼改才行了
You should know better than to behave like that.
主要是better than後面為何會多一個to?
如果沒有to的話就可以懂：
You should know better than behave like that.
可寫成
You should know better than You behave like that.
但多了to我就無法理解了。

It means that the person behaved badly or incorrectly, when they should
know/should have known better.

"to behave like that" is an infinitive clause used as a noun. The infinitive
clause can be changed to a pronoun.
→You should know better than [that].
And the clause can be used as a subject:
[To behave like that] is unacceptable in this house.

可是似乎都沒有直接解答我的疑惑，我想問的就是，這個子句是不是可以用對稱的方式改
寫？應該如何改呢？

感謝sunny大回應，其實我有這樣想過，但又想到should後應該不能接to+原形動詞
這種句型，例如：
You should to behave like that. (錯誤)
You should behave like that. （正確）
所以我就不曉得那個多出來的to該如何處理？QQ
