※ 引述《gallope (Absolutely positive)》之銘言： 不厲害的先跳出來XD : 手邊有幾題英文文法的問題,想詢求解析^^ : 1.Weathering ____ the action whereby surface rock is disintegrated or : decomposed. A. is B. being C. it is D. is that : 答案是(A),想問whereby可以當連接詞嗎? 1.可以 http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/whereby : 2. By the garden over there ________ an apple tree that was planted by my : grandfather twenty years ago. A. stands B. has C. standing D. it stands : 答案是(A),如果選(C)是錯在那邊呢? 2. By the garden over there stands an apple tree. (甚至over there也不看) =>By the garden stands an apple tree. (接著再還原) =>An apple tree stands by the garden. 反過來想就能夠知道要填stands 此類句子很多 eg. A girl sits in the chair. => In the chair sits a girl. 通常此類的句子都是由於主詞過長，而採用倒裝 eg. A girl who went shopping with her mother in the morning stood by the door. 主詞A girl who went shopping with her mother in the morning By the door stood a girl who went shopping with her mother in the morning. : 3. The geographic position of North America, ____ in the early days of the : European settlement. : A. laying between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, isolating it : B. lying between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, isolated it : C. isolated it as it laid between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans : D. isolating it between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans as it was lied The geographic position of North America, lying between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, isolated it in the early days of the European settlement. The geographic position of North America, which lies between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, isolated it in the early days of the European settlement. 1.The geographic position of North America isolated it in the early days of the European settlement. 和 2.The geographic position of North America lies between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans.
