我個人的看法是 There are pictures on the wall 牆壁上有畫 這句主要在敘述牆上有畫這件事情，至於數量多少則不是重點 所以文法和講話的邏輯上 第一句是正確的 而第二句There are not pictures on the wall 牆壁上的不是畫 以文法來看 不能說他錯 但以講話的邏輯來看，意思並不算很正確 要看當時的對話情況 如果甲看到牆壁上掛了一些看起來像畫的東西而問：Are there pictures on the wall? 乙回答：No, there are not pictures on the wall. 這種情況下在文法和講話的邏輯上都沒有錯 但是如果單單講There are not pictures on the wall 聽起來就會怪怪的 ※ 引述《stukpe (風)》之銘言： : 請問在there are的句型中，是否可以不出現數字或量詞，如下句 : There are pictures on the wall. 這句話對嗎？(第一句) : 如果上面的句子是對的，那改成否定句，是否可寫成 : There are not pictures on the wall. 這句話對嗎？(第二句) : (感覺這句怪怪的，跟下面的第四句比) : 根據參考書的內容以及我的認識， : 比較常見到的否定寫法應該是 : There are not any pictures on the wall. (第三句) : 或 There are no pictures on the wall. (第四句) : 請問在there are的否定句型中，是否一定要出現any或數字呢？ : 例：(底下四句就文法上應該都是對的吧) : (肯定句) There are two pictures on the wall. : (否定句) There are not two pictures on the wall. : There are not any pictures on the wall. : There are no pictures on the wall. : 如果假設上述的第二句是對的， : There are not pictures on the wall. : 那它跟 : There are no pictures on the wall. : 是否有意思上的差異，或是...(兩句若都對，就覺得好像有些怪異) : 感謝解答 --
