我个人的看法是 There are pictures on the wall 墙壁上有画 这句主要在叙述墙上有画这件事情，至於数量多少则不是重点 所以文法和讲话的逻辑上 第一句是正确的 而第二句There are not pictures on the wall 墙壁上的不是画 以文法来看 不能说他错 但以讲话的逻辑来看，意思并不算很正确 要看当时的对话情况 如果甲看到墙壁上挂了一些看起来像画的东西而问：Are there pictures on the wall? 乙回答：No, there are not pictures on the wall. 这种情况下在文法和讲话的逻辑上都没有错 但是如果单单讲There are not pictures on the wall 听起来就会怪怪的 ※ 引述《stukpe (风)》之铭言： : 请问在there are的句型中，是否可以不出现数字或量词，如下句 : There are pictures on the wall. 这句话对吗？(第一句) : 如果上面的句子是对的，那改成否定句，是否可写成 : There are not pictures on the wall. 这句话对吗？(第二句) : (感觉这句怪怪的，跟下面的第四句比) : 根据参考书的内容以及我的认识， : 比较常见到的否定写法应该是 : There are not any pictures on the wall. (第三句) : 或 There are no pictures on the wall.
