题目：The reason __ the motor had overheated.
正确答案是填 the machine failed is that
我的老师说前面省略了why
他说全句应该是
The reason why the machine failed is that the motor had overheated.

提问：
1.我可以说是省略了that吗?
我把that S+V当成the reason的同位语 可以这样吗?我会这样想,是因为看过the fact
that S+V...这种句子...这样解释对吗?
2.附带一提,名词子句当同位语的that可以省略吗?
