标题[求救] 有关植物嫁接.驯化的一些问题

最近看一篇paper

这一篇是说明套管式嫁接机嫁接彩色甜椒，
我对於植物相关的一些名词有些疑问？
1.Graft是嫁接，Acclimation是驯化
想问Graft union在这篇paper是代表嫁接接合部or癒合的意思？
而Union Acclimation是代表癒合驯化吗？
2.文章当中Union Acclimation Process of the Grafted Plants这段，
Samples of both the mechanically and manually grafted plants
were harvested every day.harvest是收获吗？可是好像怪怪的
3.最後讨论的部份，有两句我有点不能理解
This result could have been caused by the depth limitation of the
fetching rootstock unit
我看不太懂这句的意思？深度限制？砧木？
This may be a result of the bigger grafting shock and the more depressed
growth of the seedlings which were grafted by machine.
bigger grafting shock是代表？depressed growth？
