Job Summary: The Supply Base Engineer is a dynamic role that encompasses three major areas of focus: 1) ensuring the quality of products delivered from the contract manufacturer, 2) implementing manufacturing improvements and engineering changes, and 3) addressing manufacturing related field issues with technical support engineers. This multifaceted position requires close collaboration with the contract manufacturer and internal teams. Effective communication, problem-solving, and a commitment to excellence are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities: ‧ Oversee product quality from the contract manufacturer, implementing quality control measures to maintain high standards. ‧ Conduct regular quality assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations. ‧ Address quality issues promptly, working with the contract manufacturer to identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions. ‧ Collaborate with the contract manufacturer to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. ‧ Implement engineering changes and process improvements to optimize manufacturing efficiency and improve product quality. ‧ Partner with technical support engineers to resolve field technical issues and customer complaints quickly. ‧ Facilitate warranty return process back to the contract manufacturer and assure prompt repair/replacement is delivered to customer. ‧ Foster a cooperative relationship with the contract manufacturer and maintain effective communication with internal teams. Qualifications: ‧ Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. ‧ At least 5 years of experience in fast paced manufacturing/engineering environment ‧ Strong problem-solving and communication skills. ‧ Knowledge of quality control, process improvement, and engineering changes. ‧ Adaptability and a commitment to achieving results. ‧ Fluency in English. ‧ Previous experience in working with contract manufacturers is a plus. ‧ Experience in project and program management is a plus. ‧ Understanding of medical device manufacturing is a plus.
