Phoebe唱的歌"My Favorite Things"來自音樂電影"真善美The Sound of Music", 女主角,也就是唱這首歌的人,是Julie Andrews, 她是神仙保母女主角/麻雀變公主的奶奶女王 電影劇情是小朋友晚上怕打雷跑到家庭老師(Andrews)房間,老師就唱這首歌安慰他們: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33o32C0ogVM (找不到電影片段只有原聲帶) 老師開始唱之前也是說"只要我心情不好時就會想一些令我開心的事" 小朋友問是什麼事,老師就唱這首歌告訴他們. 而Monica要Rachel想"nice calm things",跟老師要小朋友想開心的事一樣, 所以才會激發Phoebe唱這首歌 大概是因為歌詞裡有描述冬天的景象: "Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes; Silver-white winters that melt into springs" 所以這首歌在美國聖誕節時很常聽到, 算是少數沒直接提到聖誕節/耶穌等等事物的"聖誕歌" "真善美"是很老舊的電影(1965年),年輕一代的美國人可能連聽都沒聽過這部電影, 但很多人都會哼上幾句"Raindrops on roses and rabbit and kittens" 就是要歸功於聖誕節各大店家與電視廣告強力播放. : Rachel: I'm all better now. : Phoebe: (grins and walks to the kitchen and says to Chandler and Joey.) : I helped! : Monica: Okay, look, this is probably for the best, y'know? : Independence. Does he sell it, drink it, : or just complain a lot? 這邊Phoebe是把"wine"跟"whine"混在一起了. 心不甘情不願的抱怨或抗議, 比方說"你每次都叫我去倒垃圾很煩耶" "為什麼老師超愛在週末出很多功課啊"之類的, 尤其是故意用哭腔或撒嬌腔該該叫,叫做whine. : (Chandler doesn't know.) --
