I dont have to keep up with someone better than me, and I dont have to wait at the top of the hill for someone not better than me. 8. I can pick and chose what I want to buy and when... no arguements, no guilt. 9. I can look and dress without having to satisfy someone elses image of me. 10. I dont have to shave! No need to mow down the face with no one to impress, right? ( I wouldn't complain if a woman chose not to shave her legs... who's body is it anyhow?) 11. All aspects of my life can be for me, no sacrifices to make to a partner. 12. The absence of worry is less... some of you think I worry too much now? You shoulda seen me when I was dating, good godfrey I worried myself to death about my partners. I hide it well, but it was still this lingering painful thought saying "I hope she's alright..." 13. I don't have to hang around friends of hers that merely put on an act to simulate liking me. It has happened more than once. 14. I don't have to feel shame for bringing her home to a mom that doesnt like her. When that happened a rift was created that has never healed. She should've been happy for me in that I was happy. Instead she was disappointed I was with someone she didn't care for... mom had expectations of who she thinks I should be with. Therapy is digging up all kinds of things in my head... 15. No chance of partner-poaching, which only occurs in a relationship. I had it happen and for an instant, I was tempted. But I also knew how horrible I would feel had I taken that road. For all I know it was a test that I will never know the grade to. 16. When families fight, couples tend to tear at the tapestry they are trying to weave together for themselves. It rips them apart at times. I don't face this at all, yet see it and am dumbfounded by it. 17. No possible worry that any of my male friends will try to poach my partner, no suspicion or jealousy... 18....however...men look at me and see a possible target for "boyfriend shopping" and they become a bit jealous and defensive towards me. At first anyway, once they know me they tend to trust me implicitly with their partner. 19. Dont have to say "no honey, you dont look fat in that dress..." or deal with 200 pairs of shoes. thats over six months of a new pair everyday!~ Thats a fetish if I ever heard one...
