High levels of melamine can primarily affect the kidneys. EFSA applied the
TDI of 0.5 mg/kg body weight for melamine in a specific case of
contamination in 2007[3].
高程度的三聚氰胺可能會永久影響腎臟。EFSA採用0.5 mg/kg body weight是以
特定的汙染案例[3] -----> 這個附註3很重要。
[3] Because there is uncertainty with respect to the time scale for
development of kidney damage, EFSA used the TDI of 0.5 mg/kg body weight
which is protective for exposure over a lifetime in considering possible
effects of exposure to melamine over a relatively short period, such as

由於無法確定多久時間會造成腎臟損壞，EFSA採用此標準是以短時間接觸三氯氫胺
所訂的TDI，連續食用含有三氯氫胺的產品有可能會發生腎臟損壞。
