標題[請益] Dante Inferno translated by Longfellow

Inferno Canto 01
And a she-wolf, that with all hungerings
Seemed to be laden in her meagreness,
And many folk has caused to live forlorn!

想問為什麼這裡的"many folk has"不是用"have"?
因為我對於英詩完全沒有研究，只是剛好走進書店，
翻了一翻，想說是不是Longfellow寫錯，可是又覺得
這是在開頭的前幾頁，寫錯的機率應該實在不大，應
該是自己見識淺薄，所以才上版請益，希望有研究的
大德能夠不吝指教，謝謝。
