西方的範圍太大,但可以參考這個:

英文是 We
德文是 Wir
...
凡受到羅馬文化影響都有同樣或類似的習慣,皆源出於拉丁文的"nos",
後來這些"朕"進一步的轉化為現代語文中的"我們".
所以莎士比亞在"亨利五世"裡面,模擬亨利五世在會戰前的演講詞中,
提到:
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But
we in it shall be remember'd;
We few,
we happy few,
we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with
me
Shall be
my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with
us upon Saint Crispin's day.
在翻譯這一段莎士比亞時代的英文之前,如果能理解到"we/us/me/my"等雙關語,
你就知道莎士比亞是怎麼在明褒暗婊亨利五世了.
