標題[請問] 這是英文常見的倒裝句嗎？

'In another moment
down went Alice after it, never once considering
how in the world she was to get out again.'
這是<愛麗絲夢遊仙境>開頭追兔子的情節。
請問其中的" down went Alice after it "就是所謂的倒裝句嗎？
是否直述句應該是" Alice went down after it"？
為什麼這裡要用這種倒裝句？ 或是有其他的意義嗎？
