Still, the consensus could certainly be broader, and even within it we can easily observe deficiencies as regards consistency and clarity in the use of the terms. One consequence of this— and not necessarily an unfortunate one—is that this article cannot confine itself simply to describing a—somewhat confused—state of affairs but must, with light touches, try to put the relevant terminology into somewhat better ‘order’. It should, however, be noted that this attempt does not aim at any kind of theoretical innovation but merely at giving the reader a clearer and more systematic picture of the various major sub-fields of work of the practising military/war historians (most of whom would certainly recognise and accept this picture, immediately or on consideration). 軍事與戰爭史學家對於軍事或戰爭史的意義﹐仍存有辯論。因為軍事或戰爭史所包 含的範圍廣闊﹐所以此一科目的研究與傳承本身也缺乏一致與清晰的分界線。很不 幸的是﹐本文無法對軍事或戰爭史的涵蓋範圍做一個簡單扼要的定義﹐所以只好在 儘可能不偏離主題的情況下﹐將本文所要討論的事情給濃縮在一個有限的範圍內﹐ 並建立起一個基本的理論基礎。請各位讀者注意的是﹐本文並不是在闡述什麼創新 的觀點﹐而是將以往的各家說法之中﹐進行精挑細選的整理之後﹐在陳列在各位的 -- LQY附註﹕簡單來說﹐這一段是客套話﹐這種客套話常常出現在歐美的學術報告或論 文裡面﹐目的是避免顧此失彼。歐美學者在做學問的態度上面﹐都頗有儒風﹔與我 國某些‘大師’和他們徒子徒孫的態度相比﹐我將來若是有小孩要選修文科﹐就算 是選修中文系﹐我大概都考慮把他們送到歐美留學。 面前。(其中所討論到的軍事或戰爭史學家﹐都是軍事史學界公認的大師級人物。) -- 萬物皆非主，唯曼尼大神，至聖之先知，亞當史密斯。 La ilaha ill money，Adam Smith rasula'Llah 榮耀歸於曼尼。自宇宙之初成﹐貫古今與未來﹐直至永恆不滅。喀鏘！（收銀機響聲） Gloria patri Money.
