Shawn Kemp tells KJR he turned down offer to sit courtside at Thunder game
Shawn Kemp's loyalty to the Seattle SuperSonics has never been questioned in
this city's post-basketball era.
儘管西雅圖正處於後籃球時代，Shawn Kemp仍對超音速忠貞不二。
And the former Sonics legend only reinforced that loyalty in a radio interview
with 950 KJR AM on Tuesday, telling Dave Mahler and Ian Furness that he
declined an offer from the Oklahoma City Thunder to sit in the front row for
their final game against Denver in the opening round of the NBA playoffs.
而且這名超音速前明星在週三的廣播節目上的訪談，更加強調這一點。他告訴主持人說雷霆
隊第一輪比賽時，邀請他去OKC主場觀看金塊雷霆第五戰，但是他拒絕了。
「I live out here in Seattle,」 Kemp told KJR. 「I carry the Sonics in my heart
for the rest of my life, but I have a problem rooting for Oklahoma.」
「我住在西雅圖，超音速永遠在我心裡，不過Oklahoma跟我就沒什麼牽扯了。」
Kemp said the team contacted his wife to gauge Kemp’s interest in sitting
courtside for a Thunder playoff game.
Kemp說雷霆隊聯絡他太太詢問Kemp是否有興趣來OKC看雷霆的季後賽。
「She knew what the answer was,」 Kemp said.
「她知道我會說什麼。」
「I can't do it. … It's loyalty, man. I don't think it'd be too smooth for
the people here to look up one day and see me sitting in the front row for the
Oklahoma Thunder.」
「我不可能這麼做…這是忠誠問題，老兄。我可不認為西雅圖會接受有一天我去OKC看他們
的比賽。」
Kemp, however, remains as smooth as ever.
