Q: Everyone's expectations for this team have sky-rocketed. How have your
expectations changed from a year ago?
問題：大家都認為今年球隊會突飛猛進。這一年來你的期待有所變化嗎？
A: They really haven't changed at all. Expectations for us are controlling the
things that we can control, coming into each day with a focus and a work ethic
that's going to help us continue to grow. We understand that there's no short
cut and there's no silver bullet. It's just going to be our ability to continue
to push forward, stick together and understand that part of our growth as a
team and as an organization is not always going to be a smooth ride. So when we
hit those struggles or patches, it's not just getting through the patches but
it's also getting better from going through that.
答案：其實並沒有改變(譯註：一切都在我計畫中？)。我們一直想做到的事就只是把我們能
作到的事情做好來，每天專注於那些能夠幫助我們繼續成長的事情。我們很清楚成功不會一
蹴可及，也沒有速成的方法。我們唯有繼續成長，團結一致，了解自己在球隊成長中所扮演
的角色，並且知道未來並不總是一切平順。所以當我們碰到了瓶頸，發現了缺點的時候，除
了解決問題以外，我們還能夠從這些事情裡得到教訓，繼續成長。
Q: As you look around the league, do you consider this team a top-five team?
問題：你認為雷霆在整個聯盟是不是top 5的強隊？
A: I don't really look at it as who's a top two or three team or a top five
team. I like where we are. I like the fact that we've got a group of guys who
have put in more time over the summer. I like the fact that we are bringing
back a group of guys that have some more experience and some more continuity.
But we're going to have to do the work on the floor, and I think we're going to
continue to learn what kind of team we have through how we manage adversities
and how we also manage some success that we're looking to have. So at the end
of the year I think we'll have the answers to those types of questions.
答案：我並不真的認為哪隻球隊一定是前二、前三或前五的球隊。我喜歡我們現在的樣子。
看到球員在這個夏天努力不懈，看到球員在這個夏天得到了更多寶貴的經驗與進展，我很高
興。不過我們在球場上還有很多事必須要努力，我認為我們還要繼續學習如何度過難關、如
何去得到我們想要的勝利。我想等到這個球季結束以後，我們才會對這類的問題提出我們的
答案。
Q: You've added more talent to the returning nine-man rotation. Does that make
coach Scott Brooks' job tougher or easier in your mind?
問題：這個夏天你補進了一些好手。你認為這會讓總教練Brooks的工作更辛苦或是更輕鬆？
A: I think for him, he's always going to want to have as many options as he
can. We certainly like the group that we have. But he's going to have to make
decisions as to who he feels can help him win on a nightly basis, how he wants
to continue to develop the roster so that we're playing our best basketball as
the season progresses. But I've got a tremendous amount of confidence in him
and how he approaches his job and also how he feels about the organization and
what we're trying to accomplish. But as we know you can't play everybody. We're
going to have to have people understand and accept roles. That's another part
of developing an elite franchise, an elite team. But I'm confident that he'll
be able to do that.
答案：我想對他而言，他總是希望(在調度上)有越多的選項越好。我們很喜歡現在我們擁有
的團隊。但他會去想怎麼樣能夠幫助球隊勝利，怎麼樣的作法才能夠讓球員有所進步，進而
在球季中找到最佳陣容，所以他也會基於這些想法去做些決定。我對他、他所作的行動、他
所思考的事情、他怎麼去完成我們的目標都有充分的信心。我們都知道不可能讓每個人都有
辦法上場，我們會努力讓球員們了解這件事情，並且接受他們的角色。想成為一個出色的組
織，這一環也是很重要的。不過我完全不會擔心，他肯定有辦法作到這些事情。
