大大的解釋 讓我想到似乎兩種說法 (relates to / be related to) 都有聽過.. 所以我就順手翻了一下牛津英漢辭典 在relate to作為"be connected with sb/sth else"時他給了三個例子: Wealth is seldom related to happiness. statements relating to his resignation Does the law relate only to theft 第一個是be related to的用法 也就是題目裡的(B) 後兩個是relates to的用法 也就是題目裡的(A) 這就讓我有點疑惑了... 這樣看來難道是兩種在文法上都說得通嗎?? 不過在字典中下面一點的地方 他另把related作為一個adj 解釋是 (to sb/sth):"connected or associated with sb/sth" (例句我就不再列出了) 這樣的話當然就可以拿來解釋(B)的說法 我自己看到題目是很直覺得就選B 因為我自己對這個片語的印象就是be related to 所以就用which is related to 去掉which 之後 is 變成being而省略 這樣的方式去思考 在我過去的印象中 比較常在paper或外國朋友聊天時出現的是be related to 搜尋一下兩個用法的話 則是都可以找到不少的文章 所以實在不敢說哪個才是正確的囉~ 另外我想補充一個個人淺見是 "假設"兩個用法在文法上都是成立的 那麼我會覺得be related to在語意/語感上來說 比relates to更適合用在這個地方 因為relates to是動詞用法 be related to則是以被動表形容詞用法 硬要用中文來表達語感上的差別的話 前者像是 A和B有關/A和B產生相關性 後者則像是 A和B是有關的/A和B是相關的 也就是動詞用法會比較強調連結關係的"發生" 而形容詞用法則比較強調連結關係的"存在" 不過這不是正式的文法上的意涵 只是一種語意的感覺和習慣而已...Orz ※ 引述《fleuve (:D)》之銘言： : 我不同意說答案是(B)的講法。答案應該是(A)，relating to。 : 不管relate作為及物動詞或者relating to介系詞，答案都不是(B)而是(A)。 : For those who support choice (B), I simply disagree. : I think the answer should be (A)─"if you have any trouble RELATING TO..." : The reasons are as follows: : When used as a transitive verb: : In _Collins Cobulid Dictionary_, third edition, : the example it provides for the definition of relate : ("If something RELATES to a particular subject, it concerns that subject") : is "I had papers relating to the children which my wife and I had to sign." : It is not "papers related to"─ obviously. : When used as a preposition: : Also, in _Cambridge International Dictionary of English_, : it straightforwardly tells the reader: : "Relating to means connected with."
