The extreme seriousness of desertification results from the vast : areas of land and the tremendous numbers of people affected... Petroleum tends to rise to the surface, since it is lower : in density than water : 1: it did not contain any marine fossil : 2: it had formed in open-ocean conditions : 因為第三段裡面寫到sediment above nad below the gypsum layer contained tiny : marine fossils, indicating open-ocean conditions : 是否是我對文章的理解有誤呢? Furthermore, the gypsum was found to possess peculiarities of composition and structure that suggested it had formed on desert flats 所以gypsum不是在open-ocean形成的。 : 48.Which hand did they use(p.358) : 第一段有一句ne also has to make the assumption that hands were stenciled palm : downward-a left hand stenciled palm upward might of course look as : if it were a right hand.
