That’s 44 combined years of basketball experience right there. But according to Spurs’ Coach Gregg Popovich, the team has a tool to make that transition easier. I love to play the right way. I love the team concept of the game and that’s what San Antonio has been all about. It’s been team-first, players and individuals second. And work as hard as I can to do that.” Gasol said he’s looking forward to helping the Spurs transition into a new era. “It’s very hard to replace the things that [Duncan] did on the floor, especially because of his presence, the way that he had in the locker room,” Gasol said. “You can’t substitute that, I think. So all of the other guys are going to have to pick up from the leadership standpoint, the presence standpoint.
