Kids Day / August 24, 2008 I had fun during the Kids Day exhibition yesterday. It was great to meet Cullen Jones, the American swimmer. It's also fun from time to time to share the court with a professional male player, and I enjoyed rallying with James Blake. 這段是說昨天參加 Kids Day. 然後遇見了游泳選手Cullen Jones. 也和Blake進行對打. I really didn't mean to ace the actor Mark Indelicato on the first point! I hadn't warmed up or practised my serve, and I just hit it too much to the side! The Olympics were a big disappointment for me professionally, but the positive I could take out of it was that I took part in the opening ceremony and got to know athletes from many different sports. It's very interesting for me to learn about their lives, for example how they train and how they prepared themselves for the competition. 奧運很失望... 就是認識很多運動員 I had a good practice session today. Pain in my thumb comes and goes, so I just hope that it feels okay for my first match on Tuesday. 練習狀況不錯,手指傷勢也有好了一些 This will be the third year in a row that I play against Dushevina here. Belgrade was proud when you two that exhibition against each other a few years ago. We used to see each other at tournaments when we were juniors, and one time we practised together, but it went badly for me! I was trying very hard to play my best, to keep up with him, and in the end I was so tired that I had no energy left for my match, and I lost!
