啊啊，這篇是我頭一次在這板上發文（除了自介文），請多指教。 因為最近社會上發生的事情，這首歌完全讓我欲罷不能， 每天都大概聽兩三遍(早晚各一次)去了還不膩 Havok的這首Give Me Liberty...or Give Me Death 是針對美國政府的腐敗以及過大的權力而寫 雖然是在罵美國政府，但我不曉得為何我對這首歌有相當大共鳴... 好，下面就是翻譯部分，請享用 --- Cut the rotting branches of government that stop The people from having meaning today 今天就把踐踏人們意志的腐爛政府機關全砍掉吧 Stay out of my business and keep to yourself Got to do things my own way 少插手管我的事，管好你自己。 我要照我的意志行事 Minimizing freedom with your rules and regulations 用規則與法令盡可能地限縮我們的自由 A never-ending hunger to control Choking out the life of your own population Abusing the power you hold 用永遠停不下來的控制欲望 綁架人們的生活 濫用你手中的權力 POWER – CONTROL 權力 控制 Give me liberty... Or give me death 給我自由，不然就讓我死了吧 （此句即為「不自由，毋寧死」的原句，只是我覺得這句直接用在這有點怪） Death to our independence, death to those who fight 獨立已死，抗爭的人們已死 Death to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights 憲法與權利法案已死 Showing no regard for the way things ought to be 對於事情本該有的樣子毫不關心 Stripping away rights from you and me 從你我的手中剝奪我們的權益 The founding fathers would be rolling in their graves If they could see what you are doing to this place 開國先驅們如果知道你們在這塊土地上幹了什麼好事 他們一定會氣到從墳墓裡跳出來 The next thing to go is our freedom of speech So I'll speak up while I still can and maximize my reach 下一個失去的是我們的言論自由 所以，在我還能自由的開口時，我要儘我所能的大聲說出來 I find it hard to believe 我知道這很難相信 Some things are better left unsaid 有些事情不說可能會比較好 Is it the land of the free? 這裡真的是自由的國度嗎？ Democracy is dead 民主已死 "When the people fear the government there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty." 當人民恐懼政府，即為暴政；當政府恐懼人民，方有自由。 --
