Kittel 的固態導論第三章 problem 5 第二小題
Consider a line of 2N ions of alternating charge +-q with a
repulsive potential energy A/R^n between nearest neighbors.
(a) show that at the equilibrium separation U = -2Nq^2ln2/R *(1-1/n) {CGS}
(b) let the crystal be compressed so that R -> R(1-δ). show that the work done
in compressing a unit length of the crystal has the leading term 0.5Cδ^2 ,
where C = (n-1)q^2ln2/R
第二小題我本來是用第一小題的式子來計算能量差值，之後在除以壓縮的長度
可是結果似乎差異很大，所以想請問大家如何解決。謝謝！
