Posada was placed on the disabled list Tuesday and some New York-based reporters gave him a 2-3 week timetable. Those estimates were a bit premature, it seems. Posada has a Grade 2 strain and can barely lift his leg without feeling discomfort. Damaso Marte R D.L. May 3 shoulder Return mid-May Latest News: Yankees placed LHP Damaso Marte on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 26, with left shoulder tendinitis. Marte looks like one of the smartest people in major league baseball after taking a three-year, $12 million deal from the Yankees very early on last winter. Similar talents settled for one-year deals, and while they could do better back on the market this winter, it's doubtful that a one-year contract would have worked out well for Marte. Apr 15 elbow Out indefinitely Latest News: Xavier Nady said he is having plasma injected directly into the area around his partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow in an attempt to speed his return to the Yankees. To recap: steroids evil, plasma good. Takashi Saito reportedly received similar treatments last year. "If Saito was able to come back as a pitcher, that is a good sign for me," Nady said.
