Traber gone: Yankees manager Joe Girardi said several times during spring
training that his ideal bullpen would have a long reliever and at least one
left-hander.
Traber下放了：Girardi在春訓時數度表示他理想中的牛棚會有一名長中繼和至少一名
左投。
The Yankees abandoned the idea of a long man before the season and now they
don't have a lefty as Billy Traber was optioned to Scranton to clear room for
Duncan on the roster.
但洋基在開季前放棄長中繼的想法。現在為了替Duncan清出位子，Traber下放到3A，
牛棚也沒有左投了。
Traber pitched poorly for the Washington Nationals last season but made the
team in spring training after showing the ability to get left-handed hitters
out. That vanished once the season started as lefties were 6 of 16 against
him and drew four walks.
去年Traber在國民隊投得不好，但他在春訓時秀出讓左打出局的能力，只是球季一開始
這個能力就消失了─他對上16名左打，6個擊出安打，投出四個保送。
"Not really," Traber said when asked if he was surprised by the demotion. "In
the role that I'm going to be doing for this club, they want you to go out
there and be sharper than I've been the last week or so."
當被問到對下放是否感到意外？Traber說，「並沒有。」「對於下放後的角色，球團希望
我在那能表現得比現在更銳利。」
Traber admitted he needed to throw more strikes.
Traber承認他得投更多好球。
"It's there; it's all there," he said. "It's been a rough couple of weeks. I
just have to flat-out do better."
「這些事已發生了。」他說，「這幾週很艱困，我就是得作的更好。」
