標題[新聞] Shoulder could sideline Sheffield indefinitely

算好消息吧,老薛在下個系列賽不會上場
希望也順便讓他的嘴巴休息一下

Gary Sheffield will be out of the Detroit Tigers' lineup
for a while because of a sore right shoulder that has
bothered him for more than a month.
因為右肩的傷勢,老薛將缺席一個月以上
"It's too bad to play with right now," Sheffield said
before the Tigers lost to the Indians 11-8 on Wednesday.
"It's more inflamed than it's ever been. I've gotten the
last cortisone [shot] I could get. Sept. 1 is just around
the corner. If not, I go on the DL."
肩膀發炎了,可能會接受注射治療,或是進DL
The slugger said he would be out for at least for the
remainder of the team's current homestand, which ends
Monday night. That means Sheffield will miss the upcoming
four-game series against the New York Yankees, which begins
Friday. Sheffield played for the Yankees the previous three
seasons.
老薛將不會在對上洋基的比賽中上場
The designated hitter is batting .279 with 24 home runs and
71 RBIs in 114 games this season. Sheffield originally
injured the shoulder while playing the outfield on July 21
when he collided with Detroit second baseman Placido Polanco.

Sheffield also missed five games with the injury Aug. 3-7.
