雖然仲宇早在一個禮拜前就已經PO過了 不過我還是想要紀錄一下 去這場演講是因為我還滿喜歡龍應台的尖銳的風格 雖然現在的她已經沒有那麼辛辣 不是因為她的關係 是大環境使然 她說當初在二十年前 還在戒嚴 很明顯的你知道什麼是錯的 什麼時候該發生 知道什麼是黑的什麼是白的 而現在...當初的那些夥伴 現在也都變成了灰色的 大家都是正確時 可是偏偏大家的理念上的不同 而不知道該如何分辨究竟什麼是黑什麼是白 大家只是黑一點的白 爭辯...雙方也都是朋友 也就是沒有所謂的絕對答案 都是相對答案... 也沒有所謂的絕對的錯 這正是龍應台那天給我最大的震撼 而且她說當時的社會 需要的是一群英雄 而現今的社會上 需要的是一群高素質的公民 大學的氾濫...並沒有什麼壞處 以前的大學是培養中流砥柱 以前的大學是賦予國家的未來 而現今的大學則是培養著小釘細木 我先把我的筆記寫出來吧 題目：我離世界有多遠 主講人：龍應台 一開始她先去同步的教室打聲招呼 她覺得她們在那邊 應該會很難融入 個子不高... 她那天也才剛從香港回來 忍不住要抱怨依下國家的大門--國際機場 她說每扇門都很髒 殘破骯髒 敞開給國際的大門竟是如此污穢 或許這只是跟其他國家比較的結果吧 一開始提到的是尼采的查拉圖斯特拉如是說 她說當初她在大學時總是要裝深刻 所以會念尼采或是沙特等人的書 當時總是要討論著存在與虛無才會覺得深刻... 沙特的存在與虛無內文提到 "人除了必須是他自己之外 其餘什麼都不是" 龍應台說...沙特是透過虛無的絕對來積極的入世 好像中國古代的某人..不過我不知道... 後來提及了她經歷很多的歷史大事 例如柏林圍牆 她說當圍牆倒了 於是開始審判著當時的圍牆守衛 法官說他們有罪 因為他們射殺想從東德逃亡到西德的人們 雖然他們只是遵從國法而已 判決書卻是寫著 良知應該要在國法之上.... 每個人都要為自己的行為負責 在這邊出現了一段小插曲 就是從一開始到現在的麥克風就會有時有聲音 有時沒聲音 我們也只能聽著忽有忽無的聲音.... 換了兩支麥克風也還是如此 於是她說... 這mic是必須如此嗎 如果是這樣的話 那我就只能繼續下去 令我覺得真是有趣的反應... 後來他就繼續著她的演講 她說七零年代的人是被五四運動的人影響 當初很重要的一本書是羅家倫的新人生觀 基本上我還是沒看過 在中國思想中 70年代的大學生所需要的是 道德的勇氣--能在昏暗中看出光亮 知識的責任 俠--出於偉大的同情 我很喜歡第三樣的俠是出於偉大的同情 現今的社會 俠氣都已經淡的看不清楚了 自己也缺乏著俠氣 偉大的同情... 而不是慈悲的憐憫... 當初影響很大的另一件書是 蔣總統的佳言錄 她說不要小看這本書 因為裡面有很多都是前人 王陽明的學說 生活的目的在增進人類全體之生活 生命的意義在創造宇宙繼起之生命 我想應該還是很多人記得... 因為我是其中一個 哈哈 ~~~ Small mind talk about people. Average minds talk about events, while great minds discuss ideas. ---Eleanor Roosevelt 這是羅斯福夫人說過的話 這也是影響她滿大的一段話 提到如此已經進入了現今的大學生 就跟我一開始說過的一樣 她認為現今的大學生就是要當個高素質的公民 有了領導 也得需要大量願意遵守領導的人 以前是軍權時代 需要像是貴族來領導 現在是民主時代 需要大量的高素質公民 民主這一詞遠在孔子的時代就有了 她問我們雅典和斯巴達的年代 我們回答不出來 只知道西元前 她就說是大約是孔子的年代 可是我們還是不知道究竟是幾年~~~ 孔子 BC 551 – 479 Pericles or Perikles (c. 495 BC - 429 BC, Greek) 在雅典人紀念死去的戰爭英雄的一次集會上，伯裏克利作了演講： 「我們的國體之所以被稱作民主，是因為權力不是被少數人、而是被所有人民所掌握。當 私人糾紛產生時，所有人在法律面前一律平等。正像我們的政治生活是自由而開放的那樣 ，日常生活中我們的人與人之間的關係也是如此……在這裡每一個個人不但對他自己的私 事感興趣，也對整個社稷的大事感興趣。」 講這麼多只是要我們知道民主這兩個字在很久以前就有了 Pericles是雅典的國王 上述的引文是他在國殤演講中對著陣亡的將士還有瘟疫而死的人所說的 Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe. ---by H. Wells, Outline of History (1920) English author, historian, & utopian (1866 - 1946) 最近的幾十年發生最大的變化 她覺得是民主化和全球化 剛剛提完了民主化 全球化提到的不多 主要是空間距離上的改變 所以國家主權疆域的觀念也跟著改變 像是歐盟.... 後面的結尾她期待我們有著critical thinking 成功有著很多的定義 並不一定要賺很多錢 或是有名聲才叫成功 她語重心長的說 或許你喜歡關心環境 那為何不去中國大陸的內陸 那邊有著沙漠化的苦惱...之類的 下面這是Martin Luther(馬丁路德的引文) 一些教育的目的 不想全看的話 就只要看我high light的地方就好了 那是龍應台特別提出來的話... http://0rz.tw/232g2 "The Purpose of Education" January-February 1947 Atlanta, Ga. He insists that character and moral development are necessary to give the critical intellect humane purposes. King, Sr., later recalled that his son told him, "Talmadge has a Phi Beta Kappa key, can you believe that? What did he use all that precious knowledge for? To accomplish what?" As I engage in the so-called "bull sessions" around and about the school, I too often find that most college men have a misconception of the purpose of education. Most of the "brethren" think that education should equip them with the proper instruments of exploitation so that they can forever trample over the masses. Still others think that education should furnish them with noble ends rather than means to an end. It seems to me that education has a two-fold function to perform in the life of man and in society: the one is utility and the other is culture. Education must enable a man to become more efficient, to achieve with increasing facility the ligitimate goals of his life. Education must also train one for quick, resolute and effective thinking. To think incisively and to think for one's self is very difficult. We are prone to let our mental life become invaded by legions of half truths, prejudices, and propaganda. At this point, I often wonder whether or not education is fulfilling its purpose. A great majority of the so-called educated people do not think logically and scientifically. Even the press, the classroom, the platform, and the pulpit in many instances do not give us objective and unbiased truths. To save man from the morass of propaganda, in my opinion, is one of the chief aims of education. Education must enable one to sift and weigh evidence, to discern the true from the false, the real from the unreal, and the facts from the fiction. The function of education, therefore, is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. But education which stops with efficiency may prove the greatest menace to society. The most dangerous criminal may be the man gifted with reason, but with no morals. The late Eugene Talmadge, in my opinion, possessed one of the better minds of Georgia, or even America. Moreover, he wore the Phi Beta Kappa key. By all measuring rods, Mr. Talmadge could think critically and intensively; yet he contends that I am an inferior being. Are those the types of men we call educated? We must remember that intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character--that is the goal of true education. The complete education gives one not only power of concentration, but worthy objectives upon which to concentrate. The broad education will, therefore, transmit to one not only the accumulated knowledge of the race but also the accumulated experience of social living. If we are not careful, our colleges will produce a group of close-minded, unscientific, illogical propagandists, consumed with immoral acts. Be careful, "brethren!" Be careful, teachers! PD.
