Dear 可欣: I have tried to slow down the pace and match 工三 expectaion. However, our Dept Chair, Prof Chen, told me today that you students complained to him again that my way of combining two classes together of the DOE and QC in the first half of the classes showed no respect to you undergraduate students. Also many of you felt that I taught too fast because 兩們課程合起來上. Please let me know if it is true after Monday classes. If you students definate ly want to split into two classes now, I can do it. I have tried to help you students by offerin g as many courses as possible. In this semester, I offer five different courses w hich could be the number 1 in all NTU faculty. The probelm with our management school is that we have too few faculty and too many students. But I can understand the feeling of you students. My bottom line is to help you students understand the subject as much as I can. In USA and Europe, we always have classes with more than 200 students. Big numb er is not the issue. It is the content that matters. Again, you students might be weak i n statistics in the beginning. Although I have tried to slow down to help you to capture the ideas, I can still split the classes into two if you really believe it helps. Since you are the 班代, please help me survey the thought of your classmates. Then I'll follow your group consensus as much as I can. Prof Andy Guo ------------ 星期二的系主任時間 有人反應2門課合起來上不太好 陳文華老師有去找郭瑞祥老師談談 老師星期三就寄這封信了 可是我剛剛才收信 老師說 如果真的強烈想分班上課 老師會分(不過應該是很麻煩吧) 但我覺得老師這星期一那樣上課進度還蠻ok的 老師真的是很認真教學 而且很替學生著想 所以我們若能分班上課的話 上課的情形就要比現在好 不管是學習還是互動方面 這樣老師才會覺得分班比較有意義吧 老師叫我調查大家的意願 大家看了 給我意見和決定 我星期一再和老師說明 PS 我覺得老師真的超認真的 若能分班 大家要努力上課啊~~ --
