※ [本文轉錄自 NTU04DFLL 看板] 作者: spanisheyes (hazel) 看板: NTU04DFLL 標題: [公告] 留美相關演講 時間: Mon Apr 7 22:50:55 2008 學術交流基金會每週都舉辦免費的留美相關演講，本週三 (4 月 9 日) 我們邀請到加州 Azusa Pacific University TESOL 課程主管 Dr. Mary Wong 來為同學上一堂英語教學課 程，讓同學體驗美國英語教學的方式。Dr. Wong 具有多年英語教學經驗，編寫過教科書， 也是TESOL相關機構的成員，對於想到美國學習 TESOL 的同學也可藉此機會向她請教。 ◎ 時間 : 4 月 9 日(三) 下午 5:30 到 6:30 ◎ 地點 : 學術交流基金會美國教育資訊中心 台北市延平南路 45 號 3 樓 (捷運西門站 5 號出口) 以下為 Dr. Wong 的基本介紹: Mary Shepard Wong, Ph.D., is the director and associate professor of the field-based graduate programs in the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Program at APU. She has taught ESL for over two decades and been involved in graduate teacher training for over one decade, teaching both in the US and abroad. She has presented over 40 presentations at international conventions and has several publications including a textbook with Cambridge University Press. She has served in TESOL as elected chair of the Christian Educators in TESOL Caucus, elected representative of TESOL Caucus Leadership Council and appointed member of the Caucus Review ad hoc Committee. In California TESOL (CATESOL), she has served as board member, public relations chair, intercultural communication coordinator, and continuing education chair. She is co-editing a volume with 34 contributors tentatively entitled Spiritual Dimensions and Professional Dilemmas in English Language Teaching: Dialogues Among Critical Practitioners. Wong enjoys leading study abroad trips in which teachers teach in refugee camps on the Thai/Burma border. She also enjoys encouraging her graduate students to present at conferences, with an average of five students presenting each year. 外文系系辦 --
