課程名稱︰西洋哲學史二 課程性質︰系必修 課程教師︰楊植勝 開課學院：文學院 開課系所︰哲學系 考試日期（年月日）︰20140619 考試時限（分鐘）：180 是否需發放獎勵金：是 （如未明確表示，則不予發放） 試題 : 問答題（60分） 以下六道問題任選四題回答！每滿分為 15 分； 回答超過 四題者 ，以得分較高 之 四題計分 。 1.如果你讀過喬斯坦．賈德（Jostein GaarderJostein）的《蘇菲世界》（Sophie's Worlds），那麼用你所理解的柏克萊（George Berkeley）的哲學來解釋蘇菲的世界是 　怎樣的世界！（如果你不曾讀過，那就－也只能這樣跳一題 ！） 2. 休姆（David Hume）在年紀很輕的廿三到六歲時就著手撰寫他的哲學巨著《人性論》 　（Treatise of Human Nature）。 (1) 整體來說，這本書 所要處理的是什麼樣的哲學課題？ (2) 用前述的哲學課題來介紹《人性論》的大概內容！ 3. 休姆認為一般人所謂理性（reason）與感性（passion）之間的衝突根本就是「一則形 上學家的神話」。 (1) 難道我們的理性與感之間沒有衝突嗎？休姆憑什麼說它是神話？ (2) 你是否同意休姆的說法？為什麼？ 4. 康德（Immanuel Kant）的名言說：「沒有內容的思想是空洞的，沒有概念的直觀是盲 　 目的。」（ Thoughts without content are empty, intuitions without concepts are blind） (1) 這句名言是要講康德哲學裡人類所具有的哪些認知能力？ (2) 這句名言是要表達甚麼意思？ 5. 關於因果關係（causation）的問題， (1) 休姆如何說明因果關係？ (2) 康德如何說明因果關係？ (3) 康德如何批評休姆對因果關係的說明？ 6. 康德的義務論倫理學主張道德行為就是「出於義務而行 」（to act from duty）的行 為，而出於義務就是服膺道德令式，而道德令是一種「定言令式」（categorical 　 imperative），所以道德行為就是服膺定言令式的行為。我們知道，不像假言令式有很 多種，定言令式只有一種，卻有不同的表述方式。 (1) 用你的話寫出定言令式兩種表述方並加以說明！ (2) 舉一個現代世界或臺灣社會所發生的不道德行為的具體案例（提醒你盡量用閱卷者也 會知道的 案例），用上述兩個表方式來說明何以該案例的行為是不道德！ 翻譯題（40分） 以下四道英文段落均出自 Anthony Kenny, A New History of Western Philosophy: The Rise of Modern Philosophy (Oxford University Press, 2008)，出處的頁碼註明於每 一題的末尾；參考其上下文脈絡翻譯為可理解的中文！每題滿分為 10 分。 ￣￣￣￣ 注意： (1) 這是翻譯題，不宜以全盤改寫的方式作答；如須說明可以括號或譯註方式為之！ (2) 專有名詞中的人與地名可以不中譯，直接英文表示！ (3) 每段最後括號註明的出處毋須在譯文裡再註明或翻譯！ 1. Metaphysicans rather than aping mathematicans should follow Newtonian methods, by applying them not to the physical world but to the phenomena of inner experience. 4.
