the interest rate is higher than 3%? and what is the difference between
short and long run capital supply?
(2)Will the interest rate definitely continue to decline until 3% in real
world where other things may change?
(3)Why, at equilibrium, interest rate must equal the rate of return in
capital goods market?
3. Comment on the followings:(35 points)
(1)A monopoly maximizes his profit by producing an amount less than a
competitive market. In a sense, he takes advantage of consumer's demand for
his output. Therefore, it appears favorable to him if the consumer is not
responsive to price change, i.e., price elasticity of demand is less than one.
(2)The NBA manager argues that the ticket to the ball game is high because the
payment to MVPs such as M. Jordan has been very high.
(3)The tax on land rent will be borne completely by the landlord and the
market continues to be efficient.
