I like a look of Agony,
Because I know it's true-
Men do not sham Convulsion,
Nor simulate, a Throe-
The Eyes glaze once- and that is Death-
Impossible to feign
The Beads upon the Forehead
By homely Anguish strung.
中譯 <我喜歡烈痛的臉孔>
我喜歡烈痛的臉孔，
因為深知其真實-
人不假裝抽搐，
或佯裝劇痛─
當目光呆滯─即是死亡─
無從偽裝
額上汗珠
真樸的苦悶串成。
