板主 spurs2120 寄信討論了幾個 Arenas 條款的問題。
礙於私信不公開，大致上提到了
(1) 如何計算最高薪資
(2) Gilbert Arenas 條款中，適用的要件 (有三，但這篇暫略過)
(3) back-loaded 合約中，如何計算第三年薪資的問題；同時，如果發生板主
在 Jeremy Lin 版提到的極端狀況：一年級生 RFA 就拿到 max offer 時，
如何計算薪資的問題。
謹回覆如下，當然也歡迎指教 :P

They use a different cap calculation to determine the maximum salaries,
which is based on 42.14% of projected BRI rather than 44.74%. For this
reason, the maximum salaries are not actually 25%, 30% or 35% of the cap,
and instead are a slightly lower amount. For example, even though the
salary cap for 2011-12 is $58.044 million and 25% of this amount is $14.511
million, the 0-6 year maximum salary is actually $12,922,194.
In addition,
for 2012-13 a 5.8% increase in maximum salaries was agreed to, even though
the salary cap stayed the same as 2011-12.
所以 2011-12 的六年級生起薪，最高是表列的 $12,922,194、2012-13 則是該數字
乘以 1.058 = $13,671,681 (不過表列 $13,668,750，是當誤差值看待嗎？ XD)
(3) (a) Lin 的狀況

我想關鍵句在這一段：

所以計算 X 時，要當成「2012-14 根本沒有受限」，也就是假裝 Arenas 條款
不存在的情況下，每年 4.5% 調薪後，2014-15 所能拿到的薪資；試算如下：
2012-13 2013-14 2014-15
13,668,750 14,283,843 14,898,937 (=X)
但因為 Arenas 條款強制把 2012-14 的數字壓在全額中產及 4.5% 調薪，所以 Lin
拿到的 offer sheet長這樣：
2012-13 2013-14 2014-15
5,000,000 5,225,000 14,898,937
合約總額 25,123,937 ≒ 25.1M，符合媒體所傳數字。
(b) spurs2120 提到的「一年級生 RFA 拿 max contract」的狀況
假設是 2011-12 的落選球員，簽一年底薪(所以用非鳥 x 1.2 > 5M
的更極端狀況不存在)。
首先遇到的問題是：根本沒有早鳥，母隊得拿全額中產或薪資空間去 match，
所以要是母隊沒有全額中產(團隊薪資高於「Apron - 全額中產 + 1USD」，或
薪資空間少於全額中產、卻又低於薪資上限)或空間，就完全沒有能力 match。
以下以「有能力 match」來討論。
2012-13 2013-14 2014-15 2015-16
13,668,750 14,283,843 14,898,937 15,514,031
但因為 Arenas 條款限制前兩年薪資，以及最後一年調薪幅度
降為第三年的 104.1%(事實上反而略高，這可以解釋為什麼用
Arenas 條款後，第四年的調薪幅度反而比正常 4.5%低的原因
：基準薪資較高。不是第一年的 13.5%，而是第三年的 4.1%；
如果第四年也給第三年的 4.5%反而是雙重調薪)，所以實際合
約長相如下：
2012-13 2013-14 2014-15 2015-16
5,000,000 5,225,000 14,898,937 15,569,389
合約總額 ≒ 40.6M
在這種極端狀況中，該球員的頂約是 40.6M/4Y
(7/17 19:48 增補：後來想想，這不只是「一年級RFA拿 max 合約」的頂約數字，
而是「2012 free agency back-loaded contract」的共同頂約 - Lin 最多也是
這個價格：40.6M/4Y)
