Joel Zumaya to miss rest of season
DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers reliever Joel Zumaya will have surgery on his right
elbow Tuesday and is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Team trainer Kevin Rand said before Wednesday's game against the New York
Yankees that Dr. James Andrews is scheduled to operate on Zumaya in Florida.
The Tigers won't have a more definite timeline for Zumaya's recovery until
after the surgery.
本週二老虎後援投手Joel Zumaya的右手肘會動手術，預計本季將會報銷。
週三對上洋基比賽前，防護員Kevin Rand提到 James Andrews醫生會在Florida
安排Zumaya動刀。老虎隊也不知道Zumaya手術後會恢復的明確時間。
Widely considered one of the hardest throwers in baseball, Zumaya hasn't
pitched since breaking a bone near his elbow on June 28, 2010. The
right-hander has tried to work through the latest problem without surgery but
realized the lack of progress made surgery his best option.
一般認為他是球界裡最快的投手之一。
上次不能投球是在2010，6月28 號，因為手肘附近的骨頭斷掉。
這位右投希望不要動刀來度過最近的手痛問題，但他也知道沒有
比手術更好的解決辦法。
