Joel Zumaya to miss rest of season
DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers reliever Joel Zumaya will have surgery on his right
elbow Tuesday and is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Team trainer Kevin Rand said before Wednesday's game against the New York
Yankees that Dr. James Andrews is scheduled to operate on Zumaya in Florida.
The Tigers won't have a more definite timeline for Zumaya's recovery until
after the surgery.
本周二老虎後援投手Joel Zumaya的右手肘会动手术，预计本季将会报销。
周三对上洋基比赛前，防护员Kevin Rand提到 James Andrews医生会在Florida
安排Zumaya动刀。老虎队也不知道Zumaya手术後会恢复的明确时间。
Widely considered one of the hardest throwers in baseball, Zumaya hasn't
pitched since breaking a bone near his elbow on June 28, 2010. The
right-hander has tried to work through the latest problem without surgery but
realized the lack of progress made surgery his best option.
一般认为他是球界里最快的投手之一。
上次不能投球是在2010，6月28 号，因为手肘附近的骨头断掉。
这位右投希望不要动刀来度过最近的手痛问题，但他也知道没有
比手术更好的解决办法。
