標題[請益] 幾題簡單的考題

題目如下:
Why is a normal speaker able to recognize the missing word in the sentence:
He stayed home to take of his mother because she was ___ (sick)?
(A) bottom-up processing (B) top-down processing (C)intuition (D) prediction
參考書答案是B，請問D為什麼不行呢?不是可由文句去做predict嗎?
The distinction between the following to sentences relies on ___ .
He lives in the white house.
He lives in the White House.
(A) phonetics (B) intonation (C) semantics (D) orthography
這題我覺得是B，可是書的答案是A ~"~ stress的概念是phonology的層面吧!
是答案錯了吧!?
How many morphemes are included in the word "illustrated"?
(A) 5 (B) 4 (C) 3 (D) 2
答案是D共兩個:illustrate+ed 我寫C三個
我查字典有lustrate這個morpheme存在，但是意思和illustrate完全沒關係...
請問在語意無關的情況下是否無法將lustrate視為illustrate的root?
也就是視lustrate和illustrate為兩個不同的morpheme?
