标题[请益] 几题简单的考题

题目如下:
Why is a normal speaker able to recognize the missing word in the sentence:
He stayed home to take of his mother because she was ___ (sick)?
(A) bottom-up processing (B) top-down processing (C)intuition (D) prediction
参考书答案是B，请问D为什麽不行呢?不是可由文句去做predict吗?
The distinction between the following to sentences relies on ___ .
He lives in the white house.
He lives in the White House.
(A) phonetics (B) intonation (C) semantics (D) orthography
这题我觉得是B，可是书的答案是A ~"~ stress的概念是phonology的层面吧!
是答案错了吧!?
How many morphemes are included in the word "illustrated"?
(A) 5 (B) 4 (C) 3 (D) 2
答案是D共两个:illustrate+ed 我写C三个
我查字典有lustrate这个morpheme存在，但是意思和illustrate完全没关系...
请问在语意无关的情况下是否无法将lustrate视为illustrate的root?
也就是视lustrate和illustrate为两个不同的morpheme?

7F：→ u9302041:已经点出母亲的状况..所以应该是top-down.. 02/23 23:10
