The Sacramento Kings have hinged the future of their front court on the
center out of Kentucky, DeMarcus Cousins. The 6’11’’ Cousins was touted as
the best big man in the draft and has a style of play that is difficult to
compare to other NBA players. (Is he Patrick Ewing, Oliver Miller, Kenyon
Martin, Al Jefferson, Glen Davis or Shaq?).
國王已經將前場的未來賭在DMC身上。6'11的他被認為是本次選秀最棒的大個，而且打球
的方式很難和NBA的其他球員比較(像Ewing、Miller、KM、Al、大寶或Shaq?)
Judging from the statistics and style of play, he may be none of the above.

It is still too early to say that he can't be compared to any NBA player past
or present, because for all intents and purposes it is most likely that the
Kings drafted a more fierce version of Andrew Bynum.

Keep in mind, there are many factors to consider when comparing these two
players: NBA v. college; Bynum played more minutes per game last season, 30
minutes to 23 minutes for Cousins; Bynum never played in college and in his
last season at St. Joseph High School he averaged 19 points, nearly 15
rebounds and 5.6 blocks; Bynum plays on the Los Angeles Lakers with Kobe
Bryant.

Not only do their numbers match up, but they are both monsters with Cousins
weighing in at around 290 pounds and Bynum at 285. They also both have low
turnover totals and are at their best when they crash the boards, which both
do well with both hands. The reason why they are best when rebounding the
ball is because they both have average explosiveness – they aren’t the best
jumpers – and they are able to use their size and agility to create space.
不只是他們的數字相近，而且都很巨大，DMC差不多290磅，霸男285磅。他們也都很少失

The one part of their game that is different is that Cousins is known to have
a fierce attitude on the court – something many Lakers fans and coaches say
Bynum’s game lacks. Cousins always seems to have a slight scowl on his face
(view the above photo taken as he is signing autographs), while Bynum usually
has a smile on his baby face (he sort of looks like Tracy Morgan). I guess
you could say that if Cousins and Bynum were both 6’1’’, Cousins would be
a much better player because of the tenacity he plays with. With that being
said, Bynum is a pro and has been for a while (he also has won
championships). So in that sense, Cousins could learn a lot from the Lakers'
big man. But as far as comparisons go, the two seem to be a lot alike in both
statistical categories and style of play.
他們不同的地方就是DMC在場上很兇悍，許多黑哨球迷和教練說霸男所缺乏的。表弟總是看
起來很怒，而霸男通常都是微笑著。我猜你可能會說他們都是6'11，DMC因為他的堅韌所以

Whether or not the two will match up well at the NBA level won’t be known
for some time. It can take big men a lot longer to adjust to the speed of the
NBA than it does for guards. The Lakers and Kings are obviously built very
differently as well – one has Kobe Bryant and runs a triangle offense with
two other 7’0’’ big men in the rotation, and the other is positioned
around Tyreke Evans dominating the ball and creating options for his
teammates.
短時間內無法得知這兩人是否會在nba層級如此相似。大個子會比後衛要花更多時間來適

Kings fans are ready to have an established big man with a presence like Bynum
’s. If Cousins can maintain his composure and stick to the task at hand, the
fans and the franchise may just get what they wished for.
國王球迷已經準備擁有一個已經有實績的大個。如果DMC能夠保持沉著，堅持完成手邊的事
，球迷和球隊也許會得到他們所想要的
