Bee staff writer Jason Jones went online Tuesday morning for a live Kings
chat, answering readers' questions about the team's No. 5 selection in the
June 24 NBA draft. Following are excerpts. To read the entire transcript, go

Spencer asks: Should (the Kings) get DeMarcus Cousins if he falls to us?
Spencer問：如果表弟掉下來國王應該選嗎？(我懷疑是Hawes問的)
Jones: As of now I'd say yes. Depending on who you ask, Cousins might be the
second-best player in the draft.
我現在會說「要」。端看你問的是誰，表弟可能會是本季選秀會第二好的球員。
Justin asks: Wesley Johnson is a good, athletic player, do you think he would
fit in our system?

Jones: Wesley Johnson would fit because he's athletic and a good shooter. If
all the top bigs are gone, I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings selected him.
But he might have to play shooting guard, which Johnson said would be fine
with him.

Manuel asks: If we take a center or power forward, do you think (Spencer)
Hawes or (Jason) Thompson might be on the trading block?

Jones: Hawes would be more attractive in a trade if the Kings don't pick up
the option on Thompson's deal. Hawes is in the last year of his deal. But I
think the Kings need two bigs before they consider dealing one, considering
how thin they are at the position.

A guest asks: What exactly is an "NBA body"?

Jones: Someone who is physically mature enough to deal with the pounding of
the NBA. With so many young guys in the draft these days, a lot of players
look drastically different after two/three years in the league.

A guest asks: Is there a way to get Evan Turner?
有方法弄來Turner嗎
Jones: Trade up to No. 2. But what do the Kings have to offer to do that? And
you can be sure the Sixers would try to dump Elton Brand's contract on the
Kings. The Kings don't need Brand or his contract.
向上交易囉。但國王要提出什麼？你可以確定的是七六人會試著送國王一份大禮。國王
不需要這份大禮。
Nancy D asks: Do you expect (Jon) Brockman to be re-signed?

Jones: Yes. He's working out with the coaches in Sac. He's not going
anywhere.

Tony M. asks: I like Jarvis Varnado, PF shot blocker at No. 33 (second round)
if he is there. What are your thoughts on him being at that spot?

Jones: I like Varnado a lot. Not often you talk to a college player that says
he studies film to master his shot blocking. The Kings need someone who can
intimidate.

Brian asks: With the T-Wolves possibly taking Cousins and trading Al
Jefferson, do the Kings have any interest for their No. 5 pick?

Jones: If the Wolves want to trade Jefferson, the Kings should be calling
about that. If the Kings had the third pick there would be more interest. At
five, I'm not sure who would have to fall there to create a lot of interest.

不是很確定誰會掉下來會讓國王有興趣。
