The Italian Football Association received notice of the end of the contract that bound the midfielder, native of the Lazio region, to the club. After two relatively successful seasons for both the player and the club – 46 games and two consecutive championship wins, the first in Serie A and then in Serie B -, Giannichedda bids farewell and settles at Livorno, where he has already joined his new team mates. Due to a curious twist of fate he'll have to face his former team on the very first match-day of the league, scheduled for the 26th of August at the Olimpico. Before leaving for Tuscany, Giuliano bid farewell to all the people at Juventus through the juventus.com website: “After two seasons this important period of my career comes to an end. That's why I wish to thank everyone that shared this experience with me. First of all the club's executives, who were very helpful in allowing me to terminate my contract one year early, but also to all my team mates and all those people that work 'behind the scenes' at the club every day.
