The Foundation held a kick-off party during NBA All-Star weekend that generated more than $150,000 in funds. Workshop Houston, Yellowstone Academy, and PAIR were chosen for aid from the Foundation based on the work that they've done and the level of financial need. "I think how people are raised really affects who they become. It highly influences who they become and their character. And so, for me, I know for a fact if I didn't have certain people in my life telling me what to to, what not to do, if I didn't have positive role models in my life, who knows where I'd be or what I'd be doing right now? It's a big part of why I'm able to be in the NBA today. It's because of people that are around me. And so, I want to hopefully be able to do that and serve and love these kids and to be able to just share God's love with them and I think if the Foundation, if we can make a little bit of change in a couple of kids' lives, I think it'll be well worth it." The two are known for their close brother-like friendship. 眾多的nba球星在情人節當天來到機構的開幕派對支持林，其中之一就是高富帥 大家都知道，他們倆有著兄弟般的感情 "When I left, when I got waived (in the 2012 season) by Houston, Chandler and Courtney Lee and Goran (Dragic), those were probably the three people that I was closest to," Lin said. "We kept in touch and I ended up signing in Houston," Lin continued. "So when I came out here, he showed me around the city, helped me find a place to live, and so we had been friends for awhile, had kept in touch... he's just a good person. "He has a good head on his shoulders. So he's a fun person to be around, so I'm just thankful for our friendship."
