Despite many breakdowns in the halfcourt and far too many fouls in the second quarter, the Rockets were solid overall against the Spurs on Monday in the halfcourt, but fell apart in the open court. 今天火箭特別加強練習了攻守轉換之際的防守, 雖然半場陣地戰被得到許多分, 第二節 也有著過多的犯規, 但對馬刺時火箭的半場陣地戰還是打得很好, 可惜開賽時不太給力 “Our halfcourt defense was really solid,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale said. “Where we really broke down was our transition defense. We have to get better.” 總教練: 半場陣地戰我們打得很好, 但攻守轉換之際的防守我們得再好好加強 Some of that comes down to effort, but McHale said there is a long list of issues to be addressed with the transition defense, a problem all season. 但這需要時間來好好努力才能改善 “Communicate. Take the ball. Cross-matching. Building your defense from the paint on out,” McHale said. “There is a sequence to building transition defense. A lot of times our sequence got broken. A lot of times it got broken by a lack of communication. Sometimes it got broken by our big not sprinting back. We saw a lot of it and worked on it and hopefully we get better at it. 要做好transition防守有一堆點要調整, 這是有流程的, 很多時候我們沒做好SOP所以 防守缺了洞, 原因有ABCDE, 要一一來調回來讓我們的transition防守變得更好 “Most of our emphasis has been on the defensive end. We have to get stops. There is no way of getting around it — it’s seeing sets and seeing a lot of stuff… helps a great deal. Our guys are young guys. Everything is catching them by surprise the first few times. That’s just experience.
