當初ebay在收購paypal之前，paypal其實只是一間小公司，甚至bidpay 都還比paypal有規模許多，以消費者理的立場，當然是以方便與安全為主， paypal就做到這點，雖然老是要冒著被鎖帳號的缺點，但是他就不像bidpay ，使用上方便許多（我用過幾次bidpay，付個幾塊錢美金就要你打電話去verify） 也因為成功的結合金流，ebay在全球個人網路購物的地位，迅速成功的竄升到第一位 ，這點是當初amazon所始料未及的吧，也許是低估對手造成一個ebay網購巨人的產生 其實ebay這種結合自家的金流系統，有許多人在效法，例如台灣yahoo與ezpay，大陸 淘寶網與支付寶，不過都是區域性的系統，還沒有人做到paypal全球的規模 所以如果amazon想自己來結合一個自家的金流，我想目地只有一個，要做到全方面的跨國 ，因為礙於金流的限制，amazon中還有許多廠商不做國外生意，只不過在網路平台的戰 爭中，大者橫大似乎是不變的定律，除非對手犯錯，要不然amazon要走ebay-paypal 的模式，而重回網購平台的老大地位，我想難上加難，畢竟在網路中，習慣與信任這兩個 元素是很重要的平台發展基石 以上是本人的淺見 ※ 引述《moonshade (一隻歐拉貓)》之銘言： : 網路上看到的文章，大家覺得amazon為什麼用paypal呢? : 只是因為是競爭者嗎？據說Amazon也要推出自己的金流， : 不過看看營收，應該也只有挨打的份吧，覺得 : Amazon總有一天會被買掉... : Why you can’t use PayPal on Amazon.com : Published by Andre May 25th, 2005 in e-commerce. : Tags: No Tags. : I have a few euros on a PayPal account and was planning on buying a few books. : But Amazon.com (Earth’s Biggest Bookstore, they say) doesn’t accept them.
