Travis Hafner 191公分109公斤，從外表看上去身材壯碩，出生、成長於 North Dakota的農村，看到這裡，想必很多人會有先入為主的刻板印象， 認為他是那種頭腦簡單四肢發達的人吧。 前一陣子已經有媒體報導過他養的狗的故事了，例如這一篇：http://0rz.tw/513QA 。他養的是一隻小小的Australian terrier，還取名叫Rudi，跟Pronk 本 人完全無法聯想在一起。 前幾天官網又有一篇報導：http://0rz.tw/9c3Mo Pronk 最喜歡、最擅長的居然是數學！？ 好吧，他是在鄉村長大的，至少擅長一些戶外活動吧？不是很多人喜歡去 打獵嗎？ "I'm a terrible hunter," Hafner says. "My brother and I would go hunting every year, but I can't hit anything. There could be a deer 10 feet away from me, and I'll find a way to miss it. Or I'll have the scope too close to my face and my nose will start bleeding." 就算10呎外有一隻鹿，他也會找到打不中的方法.... 那至少，在農場長大，從小看老爸弄東弄西的，一些水電木工修理什麼的 應該難不倒他吧？看他老婆 Amy怎麼說： "He's not very handy," Amy says. "I'm the one who fixes the toilet or hammers things into the wall. You would think, growing up on the farm, he would know all that stuff. But his dad would be like, 'Get me a wrench,' and he'd bring him a screwdriver. He never really learned." 所以其實在家裡這些工作老婆在做的就對了.... 那現在一些運動員很喜歡在身體上刺青啊，他搞不好在身上什麼地方刺了 Pronk 這個字。根據他的說法，他曾經想過，但是他又不確定他退休之後 還會想要身上有那些東西，所以最後沒刺了。 不過他老婆再一次出賣他： "He's definitely afraid of needles," Amy says. "He once had to get an ingrown toenail removed, and my dad is a podiatrist. My dad had to give him a shot of Novocain. Travis was pouring with sweat. "Honest to God, he almost fainted. He got out of the chair and ... you know how they put paper on the chair? The paper was like wet toilet paper." 天啊....Pronk 怕打針.... 這告訴我們，人不可貌相啊。 --
