我已經寫至少三封信給Grassley...用了三個以前我在IOWA的地址 也許一個人的力量很小,但我們要把自己的觀點告訴senator 遇到大陸的支持者,也盡量分析為何HR3012也是對他門有害, 我朋友跟我說,印度這些移民團體,每年都會游說這個法案 可能往年不成功,但今年出乎意外的竟然通過眾院...(APPLE賺太多了...財團想 要多一些工程師嗎? @__@) 以下是我寫的: Dear Senator Grassley, I appreciate your hold upon HR3012, which is a distortion of fairness and also a negative impact on American's current job market for high-skilled Americans. HR3012 is a product of strong lobbying immigration groups made up of majority of Indian immigrants. Nowadays, immigration demographic has contained 21% of India, which is an overwhelming percentage; once HR3012 passes, we can foresee more on the immigration pie chart. Secondly, I truly believe US definitely views national defense and security over economic benefit since national security is the root of everything we build up on this land. High tech industry especially includes many national secrets itself; I would foresee a future when high-tech industry will be dominantly controlled by newly immigrants who have strong origins with foreign countries, which are exactly well-known rivalry enemies to US in the world. Now the supporters of HR3012 claimed they would like to be treated as fair in immigration. However, the result of HR3012 will give them the best benefits at the cost of all the other immigrants from other countries around the world. The fairness is not real fairness. Rather, it is preferentially fair to one major country alone. Iowa City is my spiritual hometown when I first arrived in US 5 years ago. I graduated from University of Iowa as a Master of Accounting student and now I have worked for 3 years in audit, tax, and accounting industry as a professional. My job is to aid a Taiwanese-owned American company to reconnect to the international accounting standards so American system can merge with international one as SEC advocates nowadays. I am from a democratic country and now US has classed my country as one candidate to be visa-exempt in the future. I feel proud to be an immigrant to contribute to the diversity and workforce to US even though I may be just part of minority group. And I feel deeply proud that my original country has maintained great relationship with US, which makes us always see US as a friend, not an enemy. This country needs people with integrity, those who keep the final gates to maintain American spirits and security.
