有多加了一堆翻攝插畫的圖文版~ https://www.zoncheng.com/2020/06/0387-harry-potter-and-zons-murmur.html --- 去年因為一檔Podcast的啟發(https://hpup.fireside.fm/)，所以真的從Harry Potter第 一集開始看原文，展開了4,224頁的文字旅行。 不過因為這次看的是原文，不會像看中文一樣，直接掃過一堆形容詞，意外的覺得好看。 以下是看的過程中覺得有趣的地方與感想，與大家分享。 只是究竟不是什麼很懂的粉絲，所以理解錯誤的地方大家笑笑就算了XD~ 以下是這幾個月來的小小書摘與murmr~ 中間穿插一些翻攝近幾年來新出版的哈利波特插 畫版照片(小圖點了可以放大)~有些圖與連續的文沒有直接關係，單純喜歡…這篇文章也 算是這幾個月來的記憶~ 吧~ -------------------- “You mean you’re running away?” said Harry disbelievingly. “After all that stuff you did in your books—” “Books can be misleading,” said Lockhart delicately. 出自Harry與Lockhart的對話，讓人想到盡信書不如無書。 --- Break with a Banshee Gadding with Ghouls Holidays with Hags Travels with Trolls Voyages with Vampires Wanderings with Werewolves Year with the Yeti Lockhart出的書大都有押韻…，字首也都一樣，相當用心。 --- TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE Then he waved the wand once, and the letters of his name rearranged themselves: I AM LORD VOLDEMORT 佛地魔取名的片段，說真的有點中二… --- Fawkes the phoenix had swooped past Harry and was now fluttering in front of him, his beady eyes bright in the dark. He was waving his long golden tail feathers. 我好喜歡對Dumbledore鳳凰的描寫 --- “Oh, well… I’d just been thinking… if you had died, you’d have been welcome to share my toilet,” said Myrtle, blushing silver. 廁所女鬼麥朵很善良，願意分享。 --- “Got a sock,” said Dobby in disbelief. “Master threw it, and Dobby caught it, and Dobby—Dobby is free.” Lucius Malfoy stood frozen, staring at the elf. Then he lunged at Harry. “You’ve lost me my servant, boy!” 很開心Dobby自由了!!! --- She pointed to the brand-new silver badge on Percy's chest. "Second Head Boy in the family!" she said, swelling with pride. "And last," Fred muttered under his breath. 突然覺得Fred回得很好；但現在想想，他們的後代會不會就受詛咒都當不成Head Boy~ --- "Loony, loopy Lupin," Peeves sang. "Loony, loopy Lupin, loony, loopy Lupin --" 我忘了皮皮鬼在電影裡有沒有唱歌了…在書中倒是有很多即興歌曲…真的是急智歌王 ~ --- Hermione went very red, put down her hand, and stared at the floor with her eyes full of tears. It was a mark of how much the class loathed Snape that they were all glaring at him, because every one of them had called Hermione a know-it-all at least once, and Ron, who told Hermione she was a know-it-all at least twice a week, said loudly, "You asked us a question and she knows the answer! Why ask if you don't want to be told?" The class knew instantly he'd gone too far. Snape advanced on Ron slowly, and the room held its breath. "Detention, Weasley," Snape said silkily, his face very close to Ron's. "And if I ever hear you criticize the way I teach a class again, you will be very sorry indeed. " 看小說才發現Ron真的是護花使者 --- "Harry, I've just found out who Ravenclaw is playing as Seeker. It's Cho Chang. She's a fourth year, and she's pretty good. . . 原來張秋第三集就出來了 @@ 西追也是 --- Lupin sighed, and looked directly at Harry. "I told you, months ago, that the Whomping Willow was planted the year I came to Hogwarts. The truth is that it was planted because I came to Hogwarts. This house" -- Lupin looked miserably around the room, -- "the tunnel that leads to it -- they were built for my use. Once a month, I was smuggled out of the castle, into this place, to transform. The tree was placed at the tunnel mouth to stop anyone coming across me while I was dangerous. " 我本來一直覺得柳樹很搶戲，為什麼二、三集都會一直提到，原來... --- "They couldn't keep me company as humans, so they kept me company as animals," said Lupin. "A werewolf is only a danger to people. They sneaked out of the castle every month under James's Invisibility Cloak. They transformed. . . Peter, as the smallest, could slip beneath the Willow's attacking branches and touch the knot that freezes it. They would then slip down the tunnel and join me. Under their influence, I became less dangerous. My body was still wolfish, but my mind seemed to become less so while I was with them. 原來角色們變身的原因也很感性和理性，都是思考過的 --- Dudley had reached roughly the size and weight of a young killer whale. 朋友去查了殺人鯨的重量… 120-160kg 這個超浮誇啊 --- Percy cleared his throat significantly and looked down toward the end of the table where Harry, Ron, and Hermione were sitting. "You know the one I'm talking about, Father. " He raised his voice slightly. "The top-secret one. " Ron rolled his eyes and muttered to Harry and Hermione, "He's been trying to get us to ask what that event is ever since he started work. Probably an exhibition of thick-bottomed cauldrons. " Percy在第四集開始正在魔法部工作，在作一個Cauldron厚度標準的研究@@ --- Mr. Weasley was having no success at all in lighting the fire, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Splintered matches littered the ground around him, but he looked as though he was having the time of his life. "Oops!" he said as he managed to light a match and promptly dropped it in surprise. "Come here, Mr. Weasley," said Hermione kindly, taking the box from him, and showing him how to do it properly. 我覺得不會用巫師不會用火柴滿扯的…應該算滿早的發明… --- When Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic himself, arrived, Percy bowed so low that his glasses fell off and shattered. Highly embarrassed, he repaired them with his wand and thereafter remained in his seat, throwing jealous looks at Harry, whom Cornelius Fudge had greeted like an old friend. Percy好多戲~ --- The lightning had thrown the man's face into sharp relief, and it was a face unlike any Harry had ever seen. It looked as though it had been carved out of weathered wood by someone who had only the vaguest idea of what human faces are supposed to look like, and was none too skilled with a chisel. Every inch of skin seemed to be scarred. The mouth looked like a diagonal gash, and a large chunk of the nose was missing. But it was the man's eyes that made him frightening. 還滿喜歡這段，大家可以猜猜是形容哪位角色~ --- "Not spew," said Hermione impatiently. "It's S-P-E-W. Stands for the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare." "Never heard of it," said Ron. "Well, of course you haven't," said Hermione briskly, "I've only just started it." 賴香伶(*)既視感。 *看書的時候她還是台北市的勞工局長 --- "We start by recruiting members," said Hermione happily. "I thought two Sickles to join - that buys a badge - and the proceeds can fund our leaflet campaign. You're treasurer, Ron - I've got you a collecting tin upstairs - and Harry, you're secretary, so you might want to write down everything I'm saying now, as a record of our first meeting." Hermione對於「家庭小精靈權益促進會」的發展想的非常多… --- "Harry," he said, very seriously, "whoever put your name in that goblet - I - I reckon they're trying to do you in!" It was as though the last few weeks had never happened - as though Harry were meeting Ron for the first time, right after he'd been made champion. "Caught on, have you?" said Harry coldly. "Took you long enough. " Hermione stood nervously between them, looking from one to the other. Ron opened his mouth uncertainly. Harry knew Ron was about to apologize and suddenly he found he didn't need to hear it. "It's okay," he said. 在第四集前半段，Harry與Ron的關係因為火盃考驗資格的關係所以不太好。 終於在第一個考驗之後破冰了… Then, as they rounded the clump of trees behind which Harry had first heard the dragons roar, a witch leapt out from behind them. It was Rita Skeeter. She was wearing acid-green robes today; the Quick-Quotes Quill in her hand blended perfectly against them. "Congratulations, Harry!" she said, beaming at him. "I wonder if you could give me a quick word? How you felt facing that dragon? How you feel now, about the fairness of the scoring?" "Yeah, you can have a word," said Harry savagely. "Good-bye. " And he set off back to the castle with Ron. 在破冰之後緊接著這一段然後本章結束，真棒 --- "Dobby has traveled the country for two whole years, sir, trying to find work!" Dobby squeaked. "But Dobby hasn't found work, sir, because Dobby wants paying now!" 感覺就是我如果辭職會發生的事… --- Dobby gets a Galleon a week and one day off a month! 小精靈多比的薪資條件 "Professor Dumbledore offered Dobby ten Galleons a week, and weekends off," said Dobby, suddenly giving a little shiver, as though the prospect of so much leisure and riches were frightening, "but Dobby beat him down, miss. . . . Dobby likes freedom, miss, but he isn't wanting too much, miss, he likes work better. " 奴性堅強的多比… --- Exactly who or what the Weird Sisters were Harry didn't know, never having had access to a wizard's wireless, but he deduced from the wild excitement of those who had grown up listening to the WWN (Wizarding Wireless Network) that they were a very famous musical group. 巫師不會用火柴，但是有電台…哪招?! --- ...but when he got near enough to see inside, he found himself looking at a number of flurry black creatures with long snouts. Their front paws were curiously flat, like spades, and they were blinking up at the class, looking politely puzzled at all the attention. 猜猜這是什麼生物~ "Yeh find 'em down mines mostly. They like sparkly stuff. . . . There yeh go, look. " 原來電影裡的玻璃獸在小說第四集裡就出現了.~ --- "Ludovic Bagman, you were caught passing information to Lord Voldemort's supporters," said Mr. Crouch. "For this, I suggest a term of imprisonment in Azkaban lasting no less than -" Ludovic Bagman大概是第四集裡戲份算多，但電影完全沒出現的角色，的樣子 --- A jet of green light issued from Voldemort's wand just as a jet of red light blasted from Harry's - they met in midair - and suddenly Harry's wand was vibrating as though an electric charge were surging through it; his hand seized up around it; he couldn't have released it if he'd wanted to - and a narrow beam of light connected the two wands, neither red nor green, but bright, deep gold. 原來他們是絕地武土... --- the shadowy figures pressing in on them gasped it to those around them. . . and then others shouted it - screeched it - into the night - "He's dead!" "He's dead!" "Cedric Diggory! Dead!" "Harry, let go of him," he heard Fudge's voice say, and he felt fingers trying to pry him from Cedric's limp body, but Harry wouldn't let him go. Then Dumbledore's face, which was still blurred and misted, came closer. "Harry, you can't help him now. It's over. Let go. " "He wanted me to bring him back," Harry muttered - it seemed important to explain this. "He wanted me to bring him back to his parents. . . . " "That's right. Harry. . . just let go now. . . . " 第四集尾聲，好讓人難過的一段~ --- 'Do that one like a pig snout, Tonks. . . ' Tonks obliged, and Harry, looking up, had the fleeting impression that a female Dudley was grinning at him from across the table. Harry看到了變身的Tonks, 真的很酸... --- Professor Umbridge already seated at the teachers desk, wearing the fluffy pink cardigan of the night before and the black velvet bow on top of her head. Harry was again reminded forcibly of a large fly perched unwisely on top of an even larger toad. 英國人諷剌真的很狠...下面是另一段酸人穿衣的描述…以及微笑的描寫~ He had not noticed her at first because she was wearing a luridly flowered set of robes that blended only too well with the tablecloth on the desk behind her. 'Oh, no,' said Umbridge, smiling so widely that she looked as though she had just swallowed a particularly juicy fly. --- An organisation, society, team, group or club is hereby defined as a regular meeting of three or more students. Permission to re-form may be sought from the High Inquisitor (Professor Umbridge). 突然覺得好像共產黨喔~ --- 'THAT'S WHY SLYTHERINS ALL SING 'WEASLEY WAS BORN IN A BIN 'WEASLEY CANNOT SAVE A THING . . . ' HE ALWAYS LETS THE QUAFFLE IN. . . ' 'WEASLEY WILL MAKE SURE WE WIN WEASLEY IS OUR KING . . 嘲諷Ron的歌曲，都有押韻，好聽~ --- 'Time to test our talents in the real world, d'you reckon?' asked Fred. 'Definitely,' said George. And before Umbridge could say a word, they raised their wands and said together: 'Accio brooms!' 我在想Fred & George是不是因為90年代滿多矽谷創業家沒讀完書的啟發，像Steve Jobs or Bill Gates --- "It's been like that for a while now," said Mrs. Weasley, in an unconvincingly casual voice, "ever since You-Know-Who came back into the open. I suppose everybody's in mortal danger now. . . I don't think it can be just our family. . . but I don't know anyone else who's got a clock like this, so I can't check. Oh!" With a sudden exclamation she pointed at the clock's face. Mr. Weasley's hand had switched to traveling. 魔法世界的很多魔法或道具現在都能用手機辦到了…手機發個燈就是Lumos，Weasley家的 鐘現在也有追蹤App了XD --- Harry hardly noticed the sound of shattering glass; he felt dis-oriented, dizzy; being struck by a lightning bolt must be something like this. It's just because she's Ron's sister, he told himself. You just didn't like seeing her kissing Dean because she's Ron's sister. . . . But unbidden into his mind came an image of that same de-serted corridor with himself kissing Ginny instead. . . . The mon-ster in his chest purred . . . 覺得JK感情真的寫的很不好，也沒有前因，哈利就突然愛Ginny，,真的是WTF… --- "You shouldn't leave Lavender waiting outside," she said quietly. "She'll wonder where you've gone." She walked very slowly and erectly toward the door. Harry glanced at Ron, who was looking relieved that nothing worse had happened. "Oppugno!" came a shriek from the doorway. Harry spun around to see Hermione pointing her wand at Ron, her expression wild: The little flock of birds was speeding like a hail of fat golden bullets toward Ron, who yelped and covered his face with his hands, but the birds attacked, pecking and clawing at every bit of flesh they could reach. "Gerremoffme!" he yelled, but with one last look of vindictive fury, 這一段好希望電影有演出來；小鳥攻擊，好像招喚獸 XD --- Enjoying the fact that they could speak normally again, they made their way along the deserted lamp-lit corridors back to the common room, arguing whether or not Filch and Madam Pince were secretly in love with each other. 美麗新關係 --- "Promise me you'll look after yourself.. .. Stay out of trouble. ..." "I always do, Mrs. Weasley," said Harry. "I like a quiet life, you know me." 突然覺得好笑 --- Voldemort's expression remained impassive as he said, "Greatness inspires envy, envy engenders spite, spite spawns lies. You must know this, Dumbledore." 這段的用字好棒 --- "Oh, he definitely wanted the Defense Against the Dark Arts job," said Dumbledore. "The aftermath of our little meeting proved that. You see, we have never been able to keep a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher for longer than a year since I refused the post to Lord Voldemort." 這樣說的話，應該在哈利波特上學前，這個職位也每年換人；那應該在第一集就要預告比 較好，Hogwarts的七大秘密之類的… --- "How do you spell 'belligerent'?" said Ron, shaking his quill very hard while staring at his parchment. "It can't be B - U - M -" "No, it isn't," said Hermione, pulling Ron's essay toward her. "And 'augury' doesn't begin O - R - G either. What kind of quill are you using?" "It's one of Fred and George's Spell-Check ones, but I think the charm must be wearing off." "拼字校正筆"讓我想到現在手機輸入文字也都會自動矯正XD --- "I love you, Hermione," said Ron, sinking back in his chair, rub-bing his eyes wearily. Hermione turned faintly pink, but merely said, "Don't let Lavender hear you saying that." 終於告白。其實覺得這段很沒營養，如果說之前讓我討厭的是魁地奇，那第六集最讓我無 言的就是感情戲… --- "But you won't help her son," said Harry. "She gave me her life, but you won't give me a memory." Harry對Slughorn使用親情勒索~ --- This being the case, Harry, it will be your job to make sure I keep drinking, even if you have to tip the potion into my protesting mouth. You understand?" 為了取得魂器，Dumbledore必需忍痛喝掉藥水。但其實不太懂為什麼只能喝掉那個藥水… 以下是與友人的對話： 友：我覺得其實就先出去 反正不喝水陰屍不會出現 出去後先變一瓶礦泉水 然後再進去 事前場勘很難嗎!!!!! Zon：我是覺得為什麼不能給其他人喝盆子裡的水@@ 友：而且不是不能變魔法啊 除了在那個水瓢裡面變水之外的魔法明明都可以。對啊隨便 帶個路人 或給哈利喝就好 Zon：邏輯上有問題@@ 友：真的 就算不帶人 隨便帶個動物也可以（？ Zon：突然覺得阿多和年紀大的老板一樣，很固執；小員工哈利只能聽話辦事 友：對哈哈哈哈。場勘很難嗎！明明看完就可以先離開現場 準備完全再回去 Zon：說真的那時也沒啥時間壓力。他們就算毀了這個，還有其他的魂器不知在哪。 友：對 邏輯很問號哈哈 Zon：搭小船過去的時候我也覺得很妙，為什麼不飛過去，或是apparate 友：就說很多邏輯問號哈哈哈 Zon：在裡面施法明明施的很開心 Zon：而且裡面厚，不是只有他們兩個阿呆阿呆的 - that he would be drowned, and become one more dead guardian of a fragment of Voldemorts shattered soul... Zon：表示這些Inferi都是以前要來找魂器的。.算了，這還好，搞不好佛地魔其實有當過 吹笛人，英國趕屍之類的 --- 'I've got a couple behind the bar,' she said, looking very frightened. 'Shall I run and fetch -?' 'No, Harry can do it.' Harry raised his wand at once. 'Accio Rosmerta's brooms.' 我一直覺得Accio這個咒語怪怪的，沒看過的東西也可以召喚@@ --- someone was dead ... Malfoy had stepped over the body ... but who was it? 突然讓我想到Malfoy的身體+某議員的臉... Over My Dead Body!!! 鬼娃洽吉!!! --- "You thought I would not weesh to marry him? Or per'aps, you hoped?" said Fleur, her nostrils flaring. "What do I care how he looks? I am good-looking enough for both of us, I theenk! All these scars show is zat my husband is brave! And I shall do zat!" she added fiercely, Fleur雖然一開始不太受Weasley家的小朋友喜歡，但在Bill受重傷時說出這段真感人QQ --- '1 was going through ihe rest of the old Prophets and there was a tiny announcement about Eileen Prince marrying a man called Tobias Snape, and then later an announcement saying that she'd given birth to a -' '- murderer,' spat Harry. 原來Snape的媽媽叫Prince... 所以他自稱Half-Blood Prince，也沒有很屁啦... --- "What say you, Draco?" asked Voldemort, and though his voice was quiet 佛地魔是不是英文不好 --- They say, still, that no Wizarding duel ever matched that between Dumbledore and Grindelwald in 1945. Those who witnessed it have written of the terror and the awe they felt as they watched these two extraordinary wizards do battle. 終於出現 Grindelwald!!! --- “Darling Dodgy! I remember interviewing him a few years back about merpeople rights, bless him. Completely gaga, seemed to think we were sitting at the bottom of Lake Windermere, kept telling me to watch out for trout.” 我有去過這座湖耶，開心~ 相關遊記： https://www.zoncheng.com/2018/04/0326-study-design-art-and-culture-uk.html --- Er – no, they don’t,’ said Harry. ‘They think I’m a waste of space, actually, but I’m used to –’ ‘I don’t think you’re a waste of space.’ If Harry had not seen Dudley’s lips move, he might not have believed it. As it was, he stared at Dudley for several seconds before accepting that it must have been his cousin who had spoken; for one thing, Dudley had turned red. Harry was embarrassed and astonished himself. ‘Well ... er ... thanks, Dudley.’ Harry與Dudley，好感人的大和解。 是愛。 --- In desperation Harry pointed his wand at the sidecar and shouted, “ Wingardium Leviosa!” 看了七集，我記住最長的一個咒語… --- The next thing he knew, he was lying on his back on what felt like cushions, with a burning sensation in his ribs and right arm. His missing tooth had been regrown. Hermione他爸 (牙醫) 看來在巫師的世界是賺不到錢的 --- The realization crashed over him: He felt ashamed of himself as the tears stung his eyes. The owl had been his companion, his one great link with the magical world whenever he had been forced to return to the Dursleys. Hedwig在第七集的時候突然的掛了…突然覺得Hedwig很重要 ~_~ --- “Ron, you know full well Harry and I were brought up by Muggles!” said Hermione. “We didn’t hear stories like that when we were little, we heard ‘ Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ and ‘Cinderella’ —” “What’s that, an illness?” asked Ron. 我上語言學校的時候，發現韓國人知道西遊記的時候是滿訝異的 --- “Another Weasley? You breed like gnomes. Isn’t Harry Potter here? I was hoping to meet him. I thought he was a friend of yours, Ronald, or have you merely been boasting?” 衛思理家族的人太多被消遣 --- “But . . . you couldn’t Apparate in and out of that cave,” said Harry, “ otherwise Dumbledore —” “Elf magic isn’t like wizard’s magic, is it?” said Ron. “I mean, they can Apparate and Disapparate in and out of Hogwarts when we can’t.” 沒想到這點，還滿符合邏輯的~ --- Without pausing to think, Harry tried to drag back the hand, but there was no stopping it. The silver tool that Voldemort had given his most cowardly servant had turned upon its disarmed and useless owner; Pettigrew was reaping his reward for his hesitation, his moment of pity; he was being strangled before their eyes. 沒想到蟲尾是這樣死的 --- The elf swayed slightly, stars reflected in his wide, shining eyes. Together, he and Harry looked down at the silver hilt of the knife protruding from the elf’s heaving chest. “Dobby — no — HELP!” Harry bellowed toward the cottage, toward the people moving there. “HELP!” 悲傷 --- And then with a little shudder the elf became quite still, and his eyes were nothing more than great glassy orbs, sprinkled with light from the stars they could not see. 多比死亡的章節，結尾收的超美。 --- “Get down!” Harry shouted, as more curses flew through the night: He and Ron had both grabbed Hermione and pulled her to the floor, but Percy lay across Fred’s body, shielding it from further harm, and when Harry shouted, “Percy, come on, we’ve got to move!” he shook his head. “Percy!” Harry saw tear tracks streaking the grime coating Ron’s face as he seized his elder brother’s shoulders and pulled, but Percy would not budge. “Percy, you can’t do anything for him! We’re going to —” Percy最聖人的時刻~ --- “DON’T!” bellowed Snape. “Gone . . . dead . . .” “Is this remorse, Severus?” “I wish . . . I wish I were dead. . . .” Snape在Dumbledore前懺悔，希望自己能代Lily死… --- “I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter’s son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter —” Snape與Dumbledore的對談，把Harry當食用豬養的比喻滿好笑的~ 這段電影裡也有完全的演出來 --- Hundreds of people now lined the walls, watching the two fights, Voldemort and his three opponents, Bellatrix and Molly, and Harry stood, invisible, torn between both, wanting to attack and yet to protect, unable to be sure that he would not hit the innocent. Harry與Voldemort的最終決戰…好奇怪，大家在旁邊看戲…是中世紀戰鬥，兩邊主將大對 決嗎@@ --- “Albus Severus,” Harry said quietly, so that nobody but Ginny could hear, and she was tactful enough to pretend to be waving to Rose, who was now on the train, “you were named for two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew.” 看到前兩個字突然頭皮發麻... --- The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years.
