萊特遭槍殺辭世 NBA各方表哀悼

失蹤多日之後，曼菲斯當地警局發現了前NBA球員萊特(Lorenzen Wright)
的遺體，他的意外辭世讓整個地區乃至於整個NBA都感到悲傷。
作為曼菲斯當地最傑出的球員之一，萊特在這裡度過了五個賽季。

灰熊老闆海斯利(Michael Heisley)得知萊特去世的消息之後表示：
"Lorenzen never backed down from any challenge given him, whether it was
guarding (Shaquille O'Neal) or anyone else,"
"He was a team player, a great locker room guy. There was never an instance
that I talked to him when he wasn't positive.
「萊特不管碰到任何挑戰從未退卻，他是一個善於團隊合作的球員，
一個優秀的更衣室球員，每一次當我和他交談時，他都是那麼樂觀、優秀。」
"I am heartbroken. I'm sure there are a lot of people in Memphis who are
very, very sad. He was a good man who had his share of tough times, and I've
got to believe he's in a better place."
「我感到無比悲傷，我可以肯定的是曼菲斯有很多人也非常非常悲傷，
他是一個好人，我相信他現在已經到了一個更美好的地方。」
曾經與萊特有過交集的球員們也紛紛在Twitter上表示對這一不幸消息的哀悼。

RIP to my big homie Lorenzen Wright. He was a great guy and great teammate.
He will be missed by all who loved him. Pray for his family!

金塊球員安東尼(Carmelo Anthony)：

向萊特家人傳遞祝福，NBA永遠都會記住他，希望這件事情可以讓人們明白

35歲的萊特是快艇隊在96年首輪第七順位選中的球員，此後他先後輾轉過老鷹、
灰熊、國王、騎士等隊，職業生涯共出場779場比賽，場均有7.9分6.3籃板。
