An executive who is heavily committed to a course of action, : especially one that worked well in the past, makes missing signs : of incipient trouble or misinterpreting ones likely when they do appear. 第一 句意改變 主要的焦點從commitment變成 an executive 第二 修飾語likely調位 這種寫法很奇怪 第三 makes missing signs 不對 第四 one that worked well 表達的是「過去曾經對」 但是在這句當中 現在完成式的 one that has worked well (迄今都對) 會比過去簡單式表達貼切 第五 well沒有redundant的問題 因為每個選項都有 : 3. An executive who is heavily committed to a course of action : is likely to miss or misinterpret signs of incipient trouble when : they do appear, especially if it has worked well in the past. 第一 同樣句意改變 第二 especially if it has worked...這句有兩個問題 (1) 跳躍修飾action 隔了太遠 (2) 同答案A裡面提到的 就算有修飾到action 也不該是if子句 : 4. Being開頭 可能會一開始就被刪掉了吧XD 講正確的理由 第一 這邊是動名詞(Ving)片語作名詞使用 整個Being heavily committed to a course of action 視為一個「名詞」 這個「名詞」使得整個句子變成 Something makes an executive miss signs... 第二 這邊是one that has worked well in the past作 a course of action的修飾語 沒有if子句作修飾語的問題 而且緊接在action後面作修飾也是符合避免跳躍修飾的原則 : 我是選A啦~但是....我其實也不知道他錯在哪.... 這題算是很難的題目了... 這邊分享一點小心得 看到長句裡面一定要注意修飾語/同位語的寫法 特別是 N, ~~~, V 這種的寫法 通常這邊都會有考點 這題如果有知道這件事 就可以比對出來one跟if的差別 知道不該用if 就可以先刪ACD 然後B的修飾語時態沒有比E好 make missing跟likely也都不對 就選E了 現在的考題都偏向修飾語跟邏輯句意 長句用這種方式解題 雖然可能會花一點時間 但是正確率會提高 刪being這種技巧除非是真的太明顯的錯 不然還是少用比較好 --
